The Enterprise Softswitch
HiPath 5000 V7 offers SMEs with between 10 and 1,000 subscribers highly
reliable voice communication, with high-quality devices and ease of
operation.
Being a totally IP-based solution, HiPath 5000 V7 is a cost-effective,
fully server-based real-time IP system. With its distributed architecture,
it combines up to 1,000 subscribers at up to 32 sites to form a homogeneous
IP telephone network.
All ComScendo features are available at all workpoints. Through use
of open standards such as H.323 and SIP, HiPath 5000 is ready for future
features and services including networking with HiPath 8000 and connection
to public SIP Carriers (HiQ 8000).
The Enterprise Softswitch HiPath 5000 V7 is made up of 2 components:
HiPath 5000 V7 Real Time Services Manager (RSM) provides cross-system
services for up to 32 nodes and 1,000 subscribers.
HiPath 5000 V7 ComScendo Service (CS) acts as the central Gatekeeper
for H.323/SIP/CorNet-IP clients/devices and provides ComScendo features
for up to 1,000 subscribers.
HiPath 5000 RSM and HiPath 5000 CS can be installed on the same server
or on separate servers. The software, supplied on CD, can be installed
on any regular Windows 2000/2003 server.
